My modest goal of one entry per month has not been met. And it is no coincidence that it was September that was missed. It's been a busy month, and I talk to people all the time who are incredibly busy (see last month on Sabbath). And yet it seems so easy to talk about vision, keeping the right priorities, living your values, etc. And then fall activities start, lunches to make, driving to events, meetings, deadlines, priorities, crisis (and that's just before lunch). Four of my favorite words of Jesus' ministry are found in John 9:1 - "as he went along...". This was a key "strategy" (what an awkward word when talking of Jesus Christ) of how Jesus did ministry - to simply care for people as he lived life. To not miss the moment of the person right in front of him. Unfortunately, that's often the casualties of our busy lives - the most important people right there in front of us... "as we go along..."
