Marriage Encounter is intended for the typical "too busy" couple, whose day to day commitments - employment and ascent up the corporate ladder, the unrelentless demands of parenting, homemaking requirements, church and community volunteering, TV, hobbies, and some occasional socializing - have left them with no time or energy for nurturing or enjoying their marriage. The "weekend out" is designed to put life into perspective and allow couples to actually experience what they dreamed about when they committed themselves to each other: God's program for marriage. Couples leave with a new sense of hope and optimism because they take with them the strategies and concepts that rejuvenated their relationship during the weekend and will assure it as a daily experience thereafter.
