Serving Opportunities

SOAR X 2022 (Sr. High)

SOAR Saskatchewan is a 10 day discipleship and mission training program run by Multiply (the mission and church-planting organization in the Mennonite Brethren denomination) which happens here in Saskatoon during the February school break. Teams from around Saskatchewan learn and worship together and then go out into the city to serve at local organizations.

SOAR X is a shortened participation in the beginning portion of this program. Throughout the 5.5 days participants will spend time engaging in a learning tour, visiting different agencies aiding the most vulnerable in Saskatoon, a day focused on prayer, and some time to experience church in different ways as a team. They’ll spend Monday running a community carnival for Family Day and spend a day (or more) serving within an organization in the vulnerable sector in Saskatoon. In the past SOAR has partnered with organizations like The Bridge on 20th, The Lighthouse, The Friendship Inn, and Central Haven Senior’s Care Home.

We are hoping to send a team of Sr. High students and Young Adults. For more information, click the button below.

GROVEYOUTH LIT PROGRAMS

Leadership is one of the 5 values of GroveYouth. Because of this, we want to offer students opportunities to grow in discipleship through leadership development. The Leader in Training (LIT) Program offers students a chance to develop this leadership through learning and serving in community. Click the link below for more information about our Jr. High LIT or High School LIT programs. We are currently accepting applications for Term 2 (Winter/Spring 2022).
