Missions Update/Matthew Training Centre Proposal – Maryanne Berge
Council approval needed for fundraising for:
Motion approved: To approve FGCC Missions trip to MTC in fall 2024 with fundraising in the amount of approximately $10,000.
Motion approved: To approve fundraising for the Wounaan team coming to Saskatoon with costs of flights in the amount of approx. $15,000.

- We are suspending the interpretation services in our Sunday services. We are looking into other options to serve the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.
GroveYouth:
- Is no longer partnering with The Connection
Building Renderings:
- Discussion about the cross and if it can be more substantial
- Renderings will be shared at the Oct 5th Capital Campaign breakfast

With most boards – the chair (Moderator) is typically an ex-officio member of all committees. Council affirms that the moderator can attend committee meetings as required.
Officers:
Article 3.1 C. of our bylaws provides that Council shall appoint the Treasurer and Council Secretary from within Council.
Article 4.A.4 of our Bylaws notes “should an Assistant Moderator be required (when there are no Co-Moderators serving together), one shall be appointed by Council from within Council, and shall serve as Vice Chair.

Bank Signing Officers – Council:
Our cheque signing authorities need to be updated. Present cheque signers are:

Motion approved: To remove Anna Robinson and Erica Fraser as cheque signing authorities with the Bank of Montreal.
Motion approved: To add Steven Guenther and Brian Heagy as cheque signing authorities with the Bank of Montreal.
Capital Campaign Update:
- Campaign launched August 25
- Campaign team continues to meet with individuals from congregation
- Campaign materials have been completed and printed
- Planning for a fall breakfast meeting on Saturday, October 5 to review the building upgrade requirements and potentially present exterior renderings
- Commitments in excess of $500K to date
