Lavern has been in Panama getting settled, connecting with her team and serving with the MB Churches now since March! Here is a special video of the welcome that the Women’s Ministry had for her.
Lavern has been taking time to teach some women to sew quillows using some of the colourful material they wear as skirts. The results have not only been beautiful quilts that can be used as pillows, but relationships that are growing and language learning. Lavern speaks Spanish as do the Wounaan, but she is also wanting to learn their heart language which is such an important part of the Wounaan culture.
Pray for Lavern and the Women’s ministry team as they have vision to care for and reach out into many of their communities with the love and good news of Jesus.
