This past Sunday was Pentecost, a remembrance and celebration of God sending us the Holy Spirit to empower and live in us. One of the verses shared at our Journey Wall was Acts 1:8,
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
The early church saw the dramatic change happen at Pentecost as the Holy Spirit came in wind, fire and languages. The result was a courageous message by Peter and a large group of diverse people turning to Jesus as their Saviour and Lord.
You are invited to pray for God’s Spirit to fill and lead you. Ask God to pour out His Spirit on the leadership of the church and the staff. Thank God that He lives in you as a follower of Jesus.
