751 bodies found at the Marieval Residential School Site on Cowessess First Nation. 751 unmarked graves representing lives that did not get to be lived. 751 stories of horrific pain and tragic death.
We grieve. We grieve for each life lost. We grieve with each family and community that each life represents. We grieve the impact those lives could have had on our country and our world; and we grieve for the on-going injustices, harm, and systemic racism that persists.
We are currently compiling a list of resources on reconciliation that will available to all who want to be educated on how we can engage in reconciliation.
